In the mail today I received the following from the Indiana Attorney General's office.
On September 24, 2008 a suit was filed against Anson Craig Bridgers, doing business as Olde Geneva Dairy for numerous violations of the Indiana Deceptive Consumer Sales Act.
In addition, back in August apparently he was also ordered to pay Shelby County $900 for violating the county zoning ordinance, $1,500 for violating the county code and $6,921.45 for attorney's fees, for a total of $9,321.45. A collection of concerns and complaints about the Olde Geneva Dairy Retreat in Flat Rock, Indiana. A scrapbooking retreat that has no licenses, permits or certificates in the fine State of Indiana, being operated by Anson Craig Bridgers. An exercise in FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
The TRUE Scrapbooking Retreats in Indiana have strived to follow ALL of the state and local laws regarding permits and licenses that are required to run a Bed & Breakfast/Retreat in the state of Indiana. They HAVE the necessary Insurance and Merchant Certificates to run their business.
Please do not allow your experiences with the Olde Geneva Dairy Retreat stop you from trying the wonderful retreats in Indiana.
